Accenture and AWS collaborate to help organisations implement AI responsibly

Accenture has strengthened its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) by launching the Accenture Responsible AI Platform powered by AWS. This platform aims to assist organizations in swiftly and confidently adopting and scaling AI while ensuring trust and compliance across their operations.

The exponential growth of AI presents challenges for business leaders as they navigate issues like bias, compliance with regulations, and ethical considerations. According to Accenture research, only a small fraction of companies have fully integrated responsible AI practices across their businesses.

Arnab Chakraborty, Chief Responsible AI Officer at Accenture, stated, “Our collaboration with AWS is geared towards helping clients implement responsible AI practices at a large scale. We are bridging the gap between AI principles and practical implementation by offering services such as AI governance setup, risk assessment, compliance support, and security for AWS workloads.”

The Accenture Responsible AI Platform, powered by AWS, will provide a comprehensive suite of services for monitoring, testing, and ensuring compliance with responsible AI standards throughout an organization. Specifically designed for AWS environments, this platform offers tools and industry best practices to seamlessly integrate responsible AI into workflows and processes.

This platform will enable clients to identify AI risks, develop mitigation strategies, and adhere to evolving regulations. It streamlines the process of assessing an organization’s AI readiness and conducting risk screenings based on benchmark data from various industries.

Vasi Philomin, VP of generative AI at AWS, emphasized, “The collaboration between Accenture and AWS through the Responsible AI Platform will empower customers to accelerate AI adoption with confidence. By leveraging AWS’ suite of responsible AI solutions, clients can navigate compliance requirements in a rapidly changing regulatory landscape.”

The Accenture Responsible AI Platform draws on Accenture’s extensive experience in AI projects, responsible AI initiatives, and collaboration with AWS. It combines Accenture’s proprietary framework with AWS’ AI services to offer end-to-end capabilities for establishing and implementing responsible AI policies.

With a focus on AI governance, risk assessment, testing, compliance, and enterprise impact, the platform provides a holistic approach to responsible AI adoption. It also includes features to address workforce implications, sustainability, and privacy and security concerns.
