IN4IT launches free personal tier VPN server supported by Wireguard

Cloud and DevOps experts IN4IT have introduced a complimentary virtual private network (VPN) server for personal use. This VPN server is based on WireGuard protocols and includes support for OpenID, SAML, and SCIM.

The product is part of IN4IT’s cloud product suite, which aims to provide customers with more cost-effective alternatives to expensive cloud tools. The VPN server can be found on various marketplaces such as AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean, and GCP, and can be manually installed from their GitHub repository.

Personal use of the VPN server is permitted under a Business Source License (BSL). For production use, users can purchase a license for $2 per user under a business package tier. Additionally, an enterprise offering is available for organizations requiring high volume licenses, which includes a support package.

The VPN server seamlessly integrates with identity providers like Onelogin, Okta, and Active Directory through OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM. Administrators can manage users through a dedicated website, allowing for the creation, deletion, and suspension of users. New users can easily download their VPN configuration for any WireGuard-compatible VPN client.

TLS encryption with Let’s Encrypt ensures secure traffic, while packet inspection capabilities enable the monitoring of VPN traffic and packet destinations.

IN4IT founder, Edward Viaene, stated: “Our goal at IN4IT is to expand our cloud product suite, with the VPN server serving as a flagship offering. We are continuously developing new cloud products to help customers replace costly cloud tools with more affordable options, delivering essential features at a fraction of the market price.”
