Stargate, a cross-chain bridge built on LayerZero, has been experiencing technical difficulties for over six hours due to malfunctioning Decentralized Verifier Networks (DVN) executors. This has resulted in delays in transaction processing across various blockchains.
PeckShield, a blockchain security firm, was the first to report the outage and has advised users to refrain from conducting cross-chain transfers until the issue is resolved.
#PeckShieldAlert Our community has reported that #Stargate is currently down.
Do *NOT* use Stargate for cross-chain fund transfers at this time. Transactions are getting stuck in transit.— PeckShieldAlert (@PeckShieldAlert) December 20, 2024
ExVul, a Web3 security company, also confirmed the downtime of Stargate, cautioning users against initiating any cross-chain transfers through the platform due to potential risks to their funds.

As of the latest data from LayerZero Scan, approximately 29,700 transactions are currently stuck within the Stargate system.
The Stargate development team has acknowledged that the issue stems from an error in the DVN network’s executors. LayerZero’s technical team is actively working to resolve the problem.
