Bitcoin’s on the Cusp of an Impulsive Move, According to Trader Michaël van de Poppe – Here’s His Outlook

A prominent cryptocurrency analyst predicts that Bitcoin (BTC) is poised for an upward movement.

In a recent Twitter thread, crypto trader Michaël van de Poppe shares with his 763,900 followers on X that while Bitcoin appears ready for a significant move, altcoins in the Ethereum (ETH) ecosystem are likely to outperform it.

“It is highly probable that we will witness a new surge in Bitcoin soon. However, I anticipate that altcoins, particularly within the ETH ecosystem, will outshine Bitcoin. Factors such as lower yields, a weaker dollar, and progressive crypto regulations are all contributing to the market’s momentum.”

Van de Poppe believes that the current crypto cycle is more intricate compared to the previous one, and he plans to increase his exposure to altcoins as he expects them to rally.

“I perceive this bull cycle to be more intricate than the last one. Similar to how 2021 was more complex than 2017, with everything surging in 2017. Hence, I have adopted a semi-active trading approach. For now, I will hold, but I will actively trade altcoins to manage risk while maximizing exposure to potential gains as the altcoin rally begins.”

At the time of writing, the leading cryptocurrency is trading at $104,699, marking a 5.1% increase in the past 24 hours.
