Reports indicate that JPMorgan Chase, a leading financial services firm, has invested over $1 million in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
According to a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), JPMorgan currently holds approximately $984,000 in Bitcoin-based ETFs and $32,300 in Ethereum-based ETFs.
The filing also reveals the specific ETFs that JPMorgan has invested in, including holdings in the ProShares Bitcoin ETF (BITO), BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT), Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB), Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin (FBTC), and Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC).
In terms of Ethereum, JPMorgan’s investments include the Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHE), iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA), Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH), and Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF (ETH).
ETFs for BTC and ETH were approved by the SEC in 2024, allowing investors to gain exposure to these digital assets without directly owning them.
Earlier filings in 2024 revealed that JPMorgan also held spot market BTC ETFs worth $760,000 for its clients, showing a significant increase in their crypto-related investments.
