According to Bloomberg ETF analysts, Litecoin (LTC), XRP, and Solana (SOL) have a high probability of getting approval for exchange-traded fund (ETF) applications in 2025. James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas shared on X that these three altcoins have a 95% chance of securing ETFs this year.
They also believe that Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA), Polkadot (DOT), Hedera (HBAR), and Avalanche (AVAX) ETFs have a 90% chance of approval. However, the odds are slightly lower at 60% for a Sui (SUI) ETF application from Canary Capital. The analysts do not see any chance for a Canary Tron (TRX) bid in 2025.
Seyffart also mentioned that Ethereum (ETH) staking ETFs are highly likely to be approved in 2025. Several other ETF applications have been filed for funds based on Axelar (AXL), BNB, Aptos (APT), Chainlink (LINK), Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), Official Trump (TRUMP), Melania (MELANIA), and Bonk (BONK).
Additional ETFs are linked to a basket of currencies, while some are based on Bitcoin (BTC) and/or Ethereum, which are already approved for inclusion in other spot ETFs. The SEC approved the first spot market Bitcoin ETFs in January 2024, resulting in significant inflows to the top digital asset. Ethereum ETFs were also approved for trading in July last year.
