Both Maryam and Reza were influenced by their family background in engineering and decided to pursue the same path. They founded Movandi, a company specializing in semiconductors for mmWave communications.

Having a strong foundation in math and science from an early age, Maryam’s interest in engineering grew as she delved into solving complex problems. She transitioned from a physics and math enthusiast to studying electrical engineering at UCLA.

During their time at Broadcom, Maryam and Reza worked on designing radios for various wireless technologies, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Their experience in working with different frequencies laid the groundwork for their venture into mmWave technology for 5G.

Embarking on a New Venture

In 2016, Maryam and Reza departed from Broadcom to establish Movandi, focusing on developing mmWave technology-based products.
