Orbs expands onchain perpetuals trading on Sei through Gryps integration

Orbs, a Layer 3 blockchain, has recently announced that Gryps has integrated its Perpetual Hub Ultra to introduce institutional-grade on-chain perpetual futures trading to the Sei Network. This expansion provides access to advanced derivatives infrastructure designed for execution certainty, capital efficiency, and deterministic risk management.

Through this integration, Gryps can utilize a fully managed perpetuals stack on Sei using Orbs’ Layer-3 infrastructure in conjunction with Symmio’s smart contract system.

This setup includes essential components such as hedging, liquidation, oracle pricing, and professional trading interfaces, eliminating the need for Gryps to develop its own complex backend infrastructure.

Introducing the Future of Derivatives Trading on Se

Gryps, tailored for perpetual futures trading, offers specialized trading infrastructure rather than a general DeFi application. Users now have access to intent-based execution facilitated by Orbs’ infrastructure, which aims to enhance capital efficiency and execution certainty, even during volatile market conditions.

“This showcases how advanced on-chain derivatives infrastructure can be implemented to meet the operational needs of professional traders,” stated Ran Hammer, Chief Business Officer at Orbs. “By integrating Perpetual Hub Ultra, Gryps can provide institutional-grade perpetuals trading on Sei using a modular, turnkey stack that emphasizes execution quality and predictable risk management.”

Orbs mentioned that Perpetual Hub Ultra expands on previous versions of its Perpetual Hub currently operational on various decentralized trading platforms. The Ultra version enhances these capabilities by enabling platforms to source liquidity from both on-chain and off-chain outlets, including centralized exchanges, while maintaining settlement and execution on-chain.

This integration bolsters Orbs’ turnkey perpetuals infrastructure, which aims to assist decentralized platforms in competing with centralized exchanges in terms of performance and user experience while preserving full on-chain operations.
