Billionaire Peter Thiel Dumps $74,400,000 Stake in Three Assets, Including One Warren Buffett Favorite

Renowned billionaire investor and entrepreneur Peter Thiel has recently divested his positions in three prominent tech companies.

According to Thiel Macro’s most recent 13F filing, the hedge fund managed by the billionaire offloaded 49,000 shares of Microsoft in the fourth quarter of 2025, amounting to approximately $25.3 million.

In addition, Thiel sold 65,000 shares of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla during the same period, with a total value of $28.9 million.

Furthermore, all of Thiel’s holdings in Apple (AAPL) were liquidated, totaling 79,181 shares in Q4, valued at $20.161 million.

It is worth noting that Apple is a top pick for Warren Buffett, who had accumulated a significant number of AAPL shares before stepping down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.

Despite being Berkshire’s largest holding, Buffett has gradually reduced the firm’s stake in Apple, selling approximately 10.3 million shares worth $2.77 billion prior to relinquishing his CEO position.

As per the SEC filing, Thiel Macro’s portfolio currently holds no assets, with Thiel opting to remain in cash amidst the heightened market volatility and global uncertainties.

In a previous statement in January, Thiel expressed concerns about the US economy potentially facing “stagnation or even outright decline” for the first time, attributing it to technological advancements not translating into widespread benefits and restrictive housing policies hindering wealth accumulation for younger generations.
