Cysic enables tokenization of high-performance compute with ComputeFi

Cysic has unveiled a groundbreaking platform that allows users to access real hardware through tokenized assets.

By leveraging tokenization, Cysic is giving users the opportunity to tap into high-performance computing power. On May 29, the zero-knowledge layer-1 network introduced ComputeFi, a revolutionary “hardware tokenization model.”

The increasing demand for AI has made powerful GPUs unattainable for many small developers. With chip prices on the rise, the situation is only expected to worsen, according to Leo Fan, Co-Founder of Cysic. ComputeFi aims to make powerful computing more accessible and affordable.

“Our goal is to reduce the cost of scaling real-time applications and provide sustainable yield for key crypto applications such as crypto mining, AI inference, and zero-knowledge proving,” said Leo Fan, Co-Founder of Cysic.

Understanding the ComputeFi model

The ComputeFi platform works by tokenizing actual computing hardware, including GPUs, ZK chips, and mining rigs. These tokens serve as assets that can be earned without the need to directly manage or store the machines.

Behind the scenes, ComputeFi allocates computing power to users, offers rewards to token holders, and records all transactions on the blockchain. This model eliminates the middleman between developers and hardware owners, streamlining the process.

“The majority of individuals cannot afford to purchase and operate high-end compute hardware. ComputeFi bridges this gap by connecting those in need of computing power with those who possess it, enabling anyone to generate yield from the infrastructure supporting blockchain, AI, and mining technologies,” explained Leo Fan, Cysic.

One of the primary focuses of ComputeFi will be Dogecoin and Litecoin mining, allowing everyday users to earn mining rewards without the hassle of managing hardware or covering operational costs. Cysic envisions this approach fostering a more inclusive and distributed mining ecosystem while rewarding a wider range of participants.
