Mantle Integrates Succinct’s SP1 for 1-Hour Transaction Finality
Mantle, a leading Ethereum L2 scaling solution, has announced a major milestone in partnership with Succinct Labs. By integrating with SP1 of Succinct, Mantle has become the largest ZK rollup in the world. This strategic move showcases Mantle’s dedication to offering advanced scalability, capital efficiency, and institutional-level security. The platform shared this exciting development in a recent post on X.
We’re becoming the world’s largest ZK rollup with SP1.
In collaboration with @SuccinctLabs, we’re creating institutional-grade settlement and value transfer — reducing finality from 7 days to 1 hour. pic.twitter.com/0U59WvOPRI

Mantle emphasized in its post that the incorporation of SP1 marks a significant shift from its current optimistic rollup to a zero-knowledge validity rollup. This upgrade greatly enhances the network’s capabilities to achieve chain finality within just 1 hour, a remarkable 168x improvement over its current bridging capabilities.
The platform highlighted that the 1-hour withdrawals bring Mantle Network much closer to Ethereum L1 in terms of cost efficiency. Additionally, the platform boasts lower slippage, improved money markets, better swap market dispersals, wider asset availability, and enhanced interest rates.
Mantle also noted that the integration of modular architecture, ZK proofs through SP1, and data availability powered by EigenDA results in an unprecedented liquidity chain. This is expected to cater to institutional-level settlement and value transactions within the cryptocurrency sector.
Cost-Efficiency, EVM Equivalence, and Rapid Finality
The integration of Succinct’s SP1 brings several cutting-edge features to users and developers, including rapid finality, cost efficiency, multi-chain compatibility, and EVM equivalence. By integrating SP1, Mantle enables 1-hour transaction finality with seamless withdrawals and enhanced user experience.
Furthermore, the full compatibility with EVM bytecode ensures that developers can easily deploy existing tools and smart contracts. The integration of prover fees also leads to significant cost efficiency, while maintaining the security standards of Ethereum. SP1 supports cross-rollup interoperability, fostering interconnected ecosystems.
Aligning with Ethereum’s Scalability and Decentralization
The integration of SP1 goes beyond technical enhancements, laying the foundation for a more interconnected and unified Ethereum ecosystem. Builders working on Mantle can leverage the cryptographic trust and modularity of ZK rollups. According to Mantle, Succinct’s SP1 reinforces its alignment with Ethereum’s scalability objectives and decentralized security.
