At the recent Huawei Cloud Industry Summit in Shanghai, the push for enterprise AI transformation gained momentum as the company unveiled its strategy for aiding businesses in integrating artificial intelligence into their operations across various sectors.

During Huawei Connect 2025, the event brought together senior executives from government, finance, manufacturing, retail, and other industries to discuss practical AI implementation. Huawei Cloud’s focus is on helping organizations move beyond AI experimentation to practical, value-generating applications.

Charles Yang, Senior Vice President of Huawei and President of Huawei Cloud Global Marketing and Sales Services, emphasized the importance of platforms for data, models, and applications to collaborate in generating new value and achieving intelligence. The company’s AI capabilities have been deployed in over 500 scenarios across more than 30 industries.

The summit showcased successful implementations in manufacturing, public services, and retail that demonstrated measurable business impact. For instance, Shanghai Baowu Steel used the Huawei Cloud Pangu model to enhance hot rolling production predictions, resulting in a 5% accuracy increase and an additional CNY90 million in annual revenue per production line.

Huawei Cloud’s innovation framework, outlined by Joy Huang, Vice President of Huawei Cloud, focuses on cloud architecture, methods and processes, solutions, and operational excellence. This structured approach reflects the company’s digital transformation experience.

The summit also marked the launch of 12 solutions tailored for global markets, addressing the specific needs of different sectors undergoing enterprise AI transformation. Huawei Cloud reported significant adoption numbers, with over 500 financial institutions, 500 retail and e-commerce companies, and 90% of Chinese Internet companies selecting the platform.

The event highlighted a shift towards industry-specific AI solutions that address specific business challenges, emphasizing integration, governance, and measurable outcomes. Huawei Cloud’s commitment to methodologies, operational excellence, and technology platforms suggests a long-term strategy focused on sustained enterprise AI transformation.
